Matthew “Toast” Thorneycroft is another player returning in 2018. Matt played in our u19s side before progressing to our senior squad. He transferred to play some football with his cousin at Korumburra. Matt then returned to play locally with Cheltenham for 2 seasons, but we are now glad to have him back with the Hammers again. Toast stands at 195cm and has a great leap so he can play as a ruckman or key position at either end of the ground. He is also agile and good at ground level so he will be a great inclusion to the club moving forward. Welcome back Matthew Thorneycroft.
